Written On A Stormy Night Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCADCCAEFEFGHO wild and dark a night hath found me now | A |
Wherein I mingle with that element | B |
Sent madly loose through the wide staring rent | C |
In yon tormented branches I will bow | A |
A while unto the storm and thenceforth grow | D |
Into a mighty patience strongly bent | C |
Before the unconquering Power which hither sent | C |
These winds to fight their battles on my brow | A |
Again the loud boughs thunder and the din | E |
Licks up my footfall from the hissing earth | F |
But I have found a mighty peace within | E |
And I have risen into a home of mirth | F |
Wildly I climb above the shaking spires | G |
Above the sobbing clouds up through the steady fires | H |
