Written For One In Sore Pain Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF ACAC GBGB

Shepherd on before thy sheepA
Hear thy lamb that bleats behindB
Scarce the track I stumbling keepA
Through my thin fleece blows the windB
-
Turn and see me Son of ManC
Turn and lift thy Father's childD
Scarce I walk where once I ranC
Carry me the wind is wildD
-
Thou art strong thy strength wilt shareE
My poor weight thou wilt not feelF
Weakness made thee strong to bearE
Suffering made thee strong to healF
-
I were still a wandering sheepA
But for thee O Shepherd manC
Following now I faint I weepA
Yet I follow as I canC
-
Shepherd if I fall and lieG
Moaning in the frosty windB
Yet I know I shall not dieG
Thou wilt miss me and wilt findB
