Two In One Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB ACAC DEDE BFBF

Were thou and I the white pinionsA
On some eager heaven born doveB
Swift would we mount to the old dominionsA
To our rest of old my loveB
-
Were thou and I trembling strandsA
In music's enchanted lineC
We would wait and wait for magic handsA
To untwist the magic twineC
-
Were we two sky tints thou and ID
Thou the golden I the redE
We would quiver and glow and darken and dieD
And love until we were deadE
-
Nearer than wings of one doveB
Than tones or colours in chordF
We are one and safe and for ever my loveB
Two thoughts in the heart of one LordF
