Translations. - The Sixty-seventh Psalm. (luther's Song-book.) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCEF GHHHIJIJF KLKMENENO

Would that the Lord would grant us graceA
And in his volume write usB
With its clear shining let his faceA
To life eternal light usB
That we may know his work at lengthC
And what men him have faith inD
And Jesus Christ our health and strengthC
Be known to all the heathenE
And unto God convert themF
-
God then will thank and thee will praiseG
The heathen with glad voicesH
Let all the world for joy upraiseH
A song with mighty noisesH
Because thou art earth's judge O LordI
Nor leav'st the righteous quailingJ
Thy word it is both bed and boardI
And for all folk availingJ
In the right path to keep themF
-
Let them thank God and thee adoreK
Thy folk of deeds of grace fullL
The land grows fruitful more and moreK
Thy word it is successfulM
Bless us the Father and the SonE
And bless us God the Holy GhostN
To whom by all be honour doneE
Before him fear the human hostN
Now heartily say AmenO
