From heaven the angel troop come nearA
And to the shepherds plain appearA
A tender little child they cryB
In a rough manger lies hard byB
-
In Bethlehem David's town of oldC
As Prophet Micah has foretoldC
'Tis the Lord Jesus Christ I wisD
Who of you all the saviour isE
-
And ye may well break out in mirthF
That God is one with you henceforthG
For he is born your flesh and bloodH
Your brother is the eternal GoodI
-
He will nor can from you go henceJ
Put you in him your confidenceK
However many you assailL
Defy them He can never failL
-
What can death do to you or sinM
The true God is to you come inM
Let hell and Satan raging goN
The Son of God's your comrade nowO
-
At last you must approval winM
For you are now become God's kinM
For this go thanking God alwayP
Happy and patient every day AmenQ
