To Any Friend Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GAGA HIHI

If I did seem to you no moreA
Than to myself I seemB
Not thus you would fling wide the doorA
And on the beggar beamB
-
You would not don your radiant bestC
Or dole me more than halfD
Poor palmer I no angel guestC
A shaking reed my staffD
-
At home no rich fruit hanging lowE
Have I for Love to pullF
Only unripe things that must growE
Till Autumn's maund be fullF
-
But I forsake my niggard leasG
My orchard too late hoarA
And wander over lands and seasG
To find the Father's doorA
-
When I have reached the ancestral farmH
Have clomb the steepy hillI
And round me rests the Father's armH
Then think me what you willI
