To An Autograph-hunter Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDED FGHG IJIJ

Seek not my name it doth no virtue bearA
Seek seek thine own primeval name to findB
The name God called when thy ideal fairA
Arose in deeps of the eternal mindB
-
When that thou findest thou art straight a lordC
Of time and space art heir of all things grownD
And not my name poor earthly label wordE
But I myself thenceforward am thine ownD
-
Thou hearest not Or hearest as a manF
Who hears the muttering of a foolish spellG
My very shadow would feel strange and wanH
In thy abode I say No and FarewellG
-
Thou understandest Then it is enoughI
No shadow deputy shall mock my friendJ
We walk the same path over smooth and roughI
To meet ere long at the unending endJ
