Sun And Moon Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCDEE

First came the red eyed sun as I did wakeA
He smote me on the temples and I roseB
Casting the night aside and all its woesB
And I would spurn my idleness and takeA
My own wild journey even like him and shakeA
The pillars of all doubt with lusty blowsB
Even like himself when his rich glory goesB
Right through the stalwart fogs that part and breakA
But ere my soul was ready for the fightC
His solemn setting mocked me in the westD
And as I trembled in the lifting nightC
The white moon met me and my heart confess'dD
A mellow wisdom in her silent youthE
Which fed my hope with fear and made my strength a truthE
