Sonnets Ii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCCBBCCBDEEDDE

Inscribed to S F S about her fatherA
-
I went to listen to my teacher friendB
O Friend above thanks for the friend belowC
Who having been made wise deep things to knowC
With brooding spirit over them doth bendB
Until they waken words as wings to sendB
Their seeds far forth seeking a place to growC
The lesson past with quiet foot I goC
And towards his silent room expectant wendB
Seeking a blessing even leave to dwellD
For some eternal minutes in his eyesE
And he smiled on me in his loving wiseE
His hand spoke friendship satisfied me wellD
My presence was some pleasure I could tellD
Then forth we went beneath the smoky skiesE
