Sonnet. About Jesus. X Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCCDBCEFFEGG

But as Thou earnest forth to bring the PoorA
Whose hearts were nearer faith and verityB
Spiritual childhood thy philosophyB
So taught'st the A B C of heavenly loreC
Because Thou sat'st not lonely evermoreC
With mighty thoughts informing language highD
But walking in thy poem continuallyB
Didst utter acts of all true forms the coreC
Instead of parchment writing on the soulE
High thoughts and aspirations being soF
Thine own ideal Poet and Poem loF
One indivisible Thou didst reach thy goalE
Triumphant but with little of acclaimG
Even from thine own escaping not their blameG
