Professor Noctutus Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC DDEEFF GGHHII GGAAEE

Nobody knows the world but meA
The rest go to bed I sit up and seeA
I'm a better observer than any of you allB
For I never look out till the twilight fallB
And never then without green glassesC
And that is how my wisdom passesC
-
I never think for that is not fitD
I observe I have seen the white moon sitD
On her nest the sea like a fluffy owlE
Hatching the boats and the long legged fowlE
When the oysters gape you may make a noteF
She drops a pearl into every throatF
-
I can see the wind can you do thatG
I see the dreams he has in his hatG
I see him shaking them out as he goesH
I see them rush in at man's snoring noseH
Ten thousand things you could not thinkI
I can write down plain with pen and inkI
-
You know that I know therefore pull off your hatG
Whether round and tall or square and flatG
You cannot do better than trust in meA
You may shut your eyes in fact I seeA
Lifelong I will lead you and then like the owlE
I will bury you nicely with my spade and showlE
