Prayer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD

We doubt the word that tells us AskA
And ye shall have your prayerB
We turn our thoughts as to a taskA
With will constrained and rareB
-
And yet we have these scanty prayersC
Yield gold without alloyD
O God but he that trusts and daresC
Must have a boundless joyD
