Marriage Song Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC DDEECC FFGGCC HIDDCC DJKLCC

They have no more wine she saidA
But they had enough of breadA
And the vessels by the doorB
Held for thirst a plenteous storeB
Yes enough but Love divineC
Turned the water into wineC
-
When should wine like water flowD
But when home two glad hearts goD
When in sacred bondage boundE
Soul in soul hath freedom foundE
Such the time when holy signC
Jesus turned the water wineC
-
Good is all the feasting thenF
Good the merry words of menF
Good the laughter and the smilesG
Good the wine that grief beguilesG
Crowning good the Word divineC
Turning water into wineC
-
Friends the Master with you dwellH
Daily work this miracleI
When fair things too common growD
Bring again their heavenly showD
Ever at your table dineC
Turning water into wineC
-
So at last you shall descryD
All the patterns of the skyJ
Earth a heaven of short abodeK
Houses temples unto GodL
Water pots to vision fineC
Brimming full of heavenly wineC
