In The Night Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGF HIHI JKJK LGLG MENE

As to her child a mother callsA
Come to me child come nearB
Calling in silent intervalsC
The Master's voice I hearD
-
But does he call me verilyE
To have me does he careF
Why should he seek my povertyG
My selfishness so bareF
-
The dear voice makes his gladness brimH
But not a child can knowI
Why that large woman cares for himH
Why she should love him soI
-
Lord to thy call of me I bowJ
Obey like AbrahamK
Thou lov'st me because thou art thouJ
And I am what I amK
-
Doubt whispers Thou art such a blotL
He cannot love poor theeG
If what I am he loveth notL
He loves what I shall beG
-
Nay that which can be drawn and wooedM
And turned away from illE
Is what his father made for goodN
He loves me I say stillE
