Dejection Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCDD EFEFCCDD

O Father I am in the darkA
My soul is heavy bowedB
I send my prayer up like a larkA
Up through my vapoury shroudB
To find theeC
And remind theeC
I am thy child and thou my fatherD
Though round me death itself should gatherD
-
Lay thy loved hand upon my headE
Let thy heart beat in mineF
One thought from thee when all seems deadE
Will make the darkness shineF
About meC
And throughout meC
And should again the dull night gatherD
I'll cry again Thou art my fatherD
