Come To Me Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Come to me come to me O my GodA
Come to me everywhereB
Let the trees mean thee and the grassy sodA
And the water and the airB
-
For thou art so far that I often doubtC
As on every side I stareB
Searching within and looking withoutC
If thou canst be anywhereB
-
How did men find thee in days of oldD
How did they grow so sureE
They fought in thy name they were glad and boldD
They suffered and kept themselves pureE
-
But now they say neither above the sphereF
Nor down in the heart of manG
But solely in fancy ambition and fearF
The thought of thee beganG
-
If only that perfect tale were trueH
Which ages have not made oldD
Which of endless many makes one anewH
And simplicity manifoldD
-
But he taught that they who did his wordI
The truth of it sure would knowJ
I will try to do it if he be lordK
Again the old faith will glowJ
-
Again the old spirit wind will blowJ
That he promised to their prayerB
And obeying the Son I too shall knowJ
His father everywhereB
