Summer Dawn Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A B C D E F A G A A H H I A H A

In the green ether suddenly a star flickersA
-
And in the hospital they smell the morningB
-
The thrush trills crazily hidden in the bushC
-
And cloister bells go dreamlike and farD
-
A statue towers in the square lonely and slenderE
-
And in the courtyard red flowerbeds dawnF
-
The air around wooden balconies shakes with sultrinessA
-
And flies quietly reel around the stenchG
-
The silver curtain there before the window hidesA
-
Entwined limbs lips tender breastsA
-
A hard hammering echoes from the tower scaffoldH
-
And the moon decays white in the firmamentH
-
A ghostly dream chord hovers awayI
-
And monks plunge from the church gatesA
-
And stride lost in the infiniteH
-
In the sky a bright summit liftsA
