Season Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P

Ruby veins crept into the foliageA
-
Then the pond was calm and wideB
-
By the forest's edge brightly scatteredC
-
Bluish speckles and brown dust layD
-
A fisherman drew in his netsE
-
Then dusk came over the fieldF
-
But a yard shined still palely illuminatedG
-
And maids brought fruit and wineH
-
Distantly a shepherd's song died afterI
-
Then huts stood bleak and strangeJ
-
The forest in gray shroudK
-
Evoked sad memoryL
-
And overnight time became quietM
-
And an army of ravens flewN
-
As if in black holes in the forest and movedO
-
Toward the town's very distant ringingP
