Melancholy Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A B C A D A E F A A A A

The blue soul has mutely closedA
-
In the open window the brown forest sinksB
-
The stillness of dark animals in the valleyC
-
The mill grinds by the footbridge clouds rest outpouredA
-
The golden strangers A procession of steedsD
-
Gallops red in the village The garden brown and coldA
-
The aster freezes so delicately painted on the fenceE
-
The sunflower's gold almost flown awayF
-
The stumpets' voices dew is poured outA
-
On the hard grass and stars white and coldA
-
See death painted in the dear shadowA
-
Every countenance full of tears and closedA
