In Wine Country Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A B C D E F G H B I J K C L B K

The sun paints courtyard and walls with autumnA
-
The fruit stacked in heaps all aroundB
-
Before them poor children cowerC
-
A gust thins out old linden treesD
-
Through the gate a golden shower rainsE
-
And the women blessed with childF
-
Tiredly rest on rotten benchesG
-
Drunkards swing glasses and jugsH
-
A hoodlum lets his fiddle soundB
-
And smocks swell lustfully in the danceI
-
Roughly brown bodies embraceJ
-
From windows empty eyes gazeK
-
-
-
Stench rises from the fountain's mirrorC
-
And black decayed departedL
-
The hills of vines dusk all aroundB
-
A migration of birds glides swiftly southwardsK
