In The Moonlight Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A B A C A A C A D E F A A A A G

An army of vermin mice ratsA
-
Romps in the hallway which shimmers in the moonlightB
-
The wind cries out as if in dream and whimpersA
-
At the window the shadows of small leaves quiverC
-
Occasionally birds twitter in the branchesA
-
And spiders creep on the bleak wallsA
-
Through empty ways pale specks shudderC
-
A quaint silence dwells in the houseA
-
In the courtyard lights seem to floatD
-
On putrid wood decayed junkE
-
Then a star glistens in a black poolF
-
Statues still stand there from old timesA
-
One still sees contours from other thingsA
-
And a writing faded on rotten signsA
-
Also perhaps the colors of cheerful picturesA
-
Angels singing before Mary's throneG
