Decay Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P

A wind is blowing The green lightsA
-
Sing extinguished large and satiatedB
-
The moon fulfils the high hallC
-
Where no more celebrations sound throughD
-
The ancestral portraits quietly smileE
-
And far off their last shadow fellF
-
The room is sultry with putrefactionG
-
Arround which ravens mutely move in circlesH
-
A lost sense of past timesI
-
Looks from the stony masksJ
-
Pain distorted and empty of existenceK
-
Mourning in abandonmentsL
-
Sick smells of sunken gardensM
-
Quietly caress the decayN
-
Like the echo of sobbing wordsO
-
Quivering over open cryptsP
