Childhood Memory Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A B C D C E C F G C H I J K L M

The sun shines alone in the afternoonA
-
And quietly the tone of the honey bees wavers offB
-
In the garden the sisters' voices whisperC
-
There the boy listens in the wooden shedD
-
Still fevering over book and pictureC
-
Weary the linden trees wilt immersed in the blueE
-
A heron hangs motionless drowned in the etherC
-
By the fence fantastic shadow shapes playF
-
The sisters go quietly into the houseG
-
And soon their white clothes glimmerC
-
Vaguely from bright roomsH
-
And confused the bushes' bluster dies downI
-
The boy strokes the cat's hairJ
-
Bewitched by the mirror of her eyesK
-
An organ sound far away on the hillL
-
Lifts wonderfully into heavenM
