Blood Guilt Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A B C D E B F D G B H D

Night threatens at the bed of our kissesA
-
Somewhere a whisper who absolves your guiltB
-
Still trembling from the sweetness of nefarious lustC
-
We pray forgive us Mary in your mercyD
-
Out of flower vases greedy scents climbE
-
Wheedling our foreheads pale with guiltB
-
Exhausting under the waft of sultry airF
-
We dream forgive us Mary in your mercyD
-
But the well of the sirens rushes louderG
-
And the sphinx rises darker before our guiltB
-
So that our hearts sound again more sinfullyH
-
We sob forgive us Mary in your mercyD
