| A dog fox calls by | F |
| Just seeking to eat | G |
| Padding the ground | H |
| With sturdy forefeet | H |
| And as dark clouds gather | I |
| Finds well prepared meat | H |
| Whilst I just watch in silence | E |
| Then a vixen appears | J |
| As the clouds break to rain | K |
| She feeds to kill hunger | I |
| Thus easing her pain | K |
| That nothing is left | H |
| Not a crumb nor a stain | K |
