Scatter my ashes
Where Emily walked
Where Emily laughed
Where Emily talked
By the waterfall
And up on the heights
Where wild birds call
On warm summer nights.
**********
No light in the hallway
No key in the door
Moonlight falls softly
On a cold stone floor.
Voices pour forth
From Emily’s time
Erratic in volume
Yet always in rhyme.
Speaking of sickness
Sadness, despair
Of tears and of laughter
Compassion and care.
**********
Scatter my ashes
Where Emily walked
Where Emily laughed
Where Emily talked.

Poet's note: The poem is basically about my admiration for Emily Bronte. I wrote this poem in 2006 and I wrote it for myself. The poem means again it is about my respect for Emily Bronte..
