To See Him Again Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGH IJKLMN AOOPL QORS

Never never againA
Not on nights filled with quivering starsB
or during dawn's maiden brightnessC
or afternoons of sacrificeD
-
Or at the edge of a pale pathE
that encircles the farmlandsF
or upon the rim of a trembling fountainG
whitened by a shimmering moonH
-
Or beneath the forest'sI
luxuriant raveled tressesJ
where calling his nameK
I was overtaken by the nightL
Not in the grotto that returnsM
the echo of my cryN
-
Oh no To see him againA
it would not matter whereO
in heaven's deadwaterO
or inside the boiling vortexP
under serene moons or in bloodless frightL
-
To be with himQ
every springtime and winterO
united in one anguished knotR
around his bloody neckS
