Pine Forest Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKGL

Let us go now into the forestA
Trees will pass by your faceB
and I will stop and offer you to themC
but they cannot bend downD
The night watches over its creaturesE
except for the pine trees that never changeF
the old wounded springs that springG
blessed gum eternal afternoonsH
If they could the trees would lift youI
and carry you from valley to valleyJ
and you would pass from arm to armK
a child runningG
from father to fatherL
