I have walked this road before.
It was lonely and rough.
All through, the journey was tough.
But the pain was worth it.
Through that dark tunnel we reached our goal.
We were among the sojourners,
Who arrived with hardened souls.
Troubled by our past sufferings,
we built a home in this desolate place.
Our labour was fruitful
and brought forth abundance.
When we were hungry
nobody fed us.
When we lost our homes
nobody comforted us.
Now we see no evil
but sunshine and brightness.
