V.r. Lang Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDE FGHCI JKLMN OFPQR

You are so serious as ifA
a glacier spoke in your earB
or you had to walk throughC
the great gate of KievD
to get to the living roomE
-
I worry about this because IF
love you As if it weren't grotesqueG
enough that we live in hydrogenH
and breathe like atomizers youC
have to think I'm a great architectI
-
and you float regally by on yourJ
incessant escalator calm a jungle queenK
Thinking it a steam shovel LookingL
a little uneasy But you are yourselfM
again yanking silver beads off your neckN
-
Remember the Russian Easter OvertureO
is full of bunnies Be always highF
full of regard and honor and lanolin OhP
ride horseback in pink linen be happyQ
and ride with your beads on because it rainsR
