A Quiet Poem Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CC DE FG HC IJ KL

When music is far enough awayA
the eyelid does not often moveB
-
and objects are still as lavenderC
without breath or distant rejoinderC
-
The cloud is then so subtly draggedD
away by the silver flying machineE
-
that the thought of it alone echoesF
unbelievably the sound of the motor fallsG
-
like a coin toward the ocean's floorH
and the eye does not flickerC
-
as it does when in the loud sun a coinI
rises and nicks the near air NowJ
-
slowly the heart breathes to musicK
while the coins lie in wet yellow sandL
