What is the song the stars singA
And a million songs are as song of oneB
This is the song the stars singA
Sweeter song's noneB
-
One to set and many to singA
And a million songs are as song of oneB
One to stand and many to clingA
The many things and the one ThingA
The one that runs not the many that runB
-
-
The ever new weaveth the ever oldC
And a million songs are as song of oneB
Ever telling the never toldC
The silver saith and the said is goldC
And done ever the never doneB
-
-
The chase that's chased is the Lord o' the chaseD
And a million songs are as song of oneB
And the pursued cries on the raceD
And the hounds in leash are the hounds that runB
-
-
Hidden stars by the shown stars' sheenE
And a million suns are but as oneB
Colours unseen by the colours seenE
And sounds unheard heard sounds betweenE
And a night is in the light of the sunB
-
-
An ambuscade of lights in nightF
And a million secrets are but as oneB
And anight is dark in the sun's lightF
And a world in the world man looks uponG
-
-
Hidden stars by the shown stars' wingsH
And a million cycles are but as oneB
And a world with unapparent stringsH
Knits the stimulant world of thingsH
Behold and vision thereof is noneB
-
-
The world above in the world belowI
And a million worlds are but as oneB
And the One in all as the sun's strength soI
Strives in all strength glows in all glowI
Of the earth that wits not and man thereonJ
-
-
Braced in its own fourfold embraceD
And a million strengths are as strength of oneB
And round it all God's arms of graceD
The world so as the Vision saysK
Doth with great lightning tramples runB
-
-
And thunder bruiteth into thunderL
And a million sounds are as sound of oneB
From stellate peak to peak is tossed a voice of wonderL
And the height stoops down to the depths thereunderL
And sun leans forth to his brother sunB
-
-
And the more ample years unfoldC
With a million songs as song of oneB
A little new of the ever oldC
A little told of the never toldC
Added act of the never doneB
-
-
Loud the descant and low the themeM
A million songs are as song of oneB
And the dream of the world is dream in dreamM
But the one Is is or nought could seemM
And the song runs round to the song begunB
-
-
This is the song the stars singA
Ton d all in timeN
Tintinnabulous tuned to ringA
A multitudinous single thingA
Rung all in rhymeN
