Go, Songs, For Ended Is Our Brief, Sweet Play Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB ABAB ABAB

Go songs for ended is our brief sweet playA
Go children of swift joy and tardy sorrowB
And some are sung and that was yesterdayA
And some are unsung and that may be tomorrowB
-
Go forth and if it be o'er stony wayA
Old joy can lend what newer grief must borrowB
And it was sweet and that was yesterdayA
And sweet is sweet though purchased with sorrowB
-
Go songs and come not back from your far wayA
And if men ask you why ye smile and sorrowB
Tell them ye grieve for your hearts know TodayA
Tell them ye smile for your eyes know TomorrowB
