I remember the sky lighting up.
Brilliant burst of fire popped
And bubbled,
Bright blue, red and green
Stretching as far as the eye could see.
The smoke, miraculously sparkling
Like clear gems
And previous stones.
The air waved and meshed
In a symphony of light and grace,
Tickling the belly of the heavens
And running smoothly around the glowing white eye of Oblivion.

I remember swaying as the air sang,
Humming to myself as the showers of light rained over me.
Mesmerized.
I was hypnotized and I did not struggle.

I remember the orchestra of light,
Illuminated even more
By the cold reflection under me.
The chill was a mere itch at that point.
The rising, white mountains of soft, solid water were my shields
Both from being caught
And from catching.

I remember feeling that I suppressed,
The unbiased, unforgiving fingers
Of frigid evil
Cover my mouth and cage my body.
Though I fought for sight
My drums kept thumping in my ears
Ever harder and ever slower.

I remember losing myself,
My eyes to the sky
Reflecting the Aurora Borealis.
My frozen form uncomprehending,
Again,
Of the beautiful lights splashed over the canvas of
The heavenly night sky.

I remember now.
I let my grip on life go
Just to lie under the blanket of
The night sky.
