To Robin Goodfellow Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABACADA AAEAEFGF GFAFHEIE AFJFKALA

I see you Maister Bawsy brownA
Through yonder lattice creepin'A
You come for cream and to gar me dreamB
But you dinna find me sleepin'A
The moonbeam that upon the floorC
Wi' crickets ben a jinkin'A
Now steals away fra' her bonnie playD
Wi' a rosier blie I'm thinkin'A
-
I saw you Maister Bawsy brownA
When the blue bells went a ringin'A
For the merrie fays o' the banks an' braesE
And I kenned your bonnie singin'A
The gowans gave you honey sweetsE
And the posies on the heatherF
Dript draughts o' dew for the faery crewG
That danct and sang togetherF
-
But posie bloom an' simmer dewG
And ither sweets o' faeryF
C'u'd na gae down wi' Bawsy brownA
Sae nigh to Maggie's dairyF
My pantry shelves sae clean and whiteH
Are set wi' cream and cheesesE
Gae gin you will an' take your fillI
Of whatsoever pleasesE
-
Then wave your wand aboon my eenA
Until they close awearieF
And the night be past sae sweet and fastJ
Wi' dreamings o' my dearieF
But pinch the wench in yonder roomK
For she's na gude nor bonnieA
Her shelves be dust and her pans be rustL
And she winkit at my JohnnieA
