The Bottle Tree Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBACCDBDB BDBDDBDDDBDB

A bottle tree bloometh in Winkyway landA
Heigh ho for a bottle I sayB
A snug little berth in that ship I demandA
That rocketh the Bottle Tree babies awayB
Where the Bottle Tree bloometh by night and by dayB
And reacheth its fruit to each wee dimpled handA
You take of that fruit as much as you listC
For colic's a nuisance that doesn't existC
So cuddle me and cuddle me fastD
And cuddle me snug in my cradle awayB
For I hunger and thirst for that precious repastD
Heigh ho for a bottle I sayB
-
The Bottle Tree bloometh by night and by dayB
Heigh ho for Winkyway landD
And Bottle Tree fruit as I've heard people sayB
Makes bellies of Bottle Tree babies expandD
And that is a trick I would fain understandD
Heigh ho for a bottle to dayB
And heigh ho for a bottle to nightD
A bottle of milk that is creamy and whiteD
So cuddle me close and cuddle me fastD
And cuddle me snug in my cradle awayB
For I hunger and thirst for that precious repastD
Heigh ho for a bottle I sayB
