Star Of The East Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC CDCDEE BFBFGG

Star of the East that long agoA
Brought wise men on their wayB
Where angels singing to and froA
The Child of Bethlehem layB
Above that Syrian hill afarC
Thou shinest out to night O StarC
-
Star of the East the night were drearC
But for the tender graceD
That with thy glory comes to cheerC
Earth's loneliest darkest placeD
For by that charity we seeE
Where there is hope for all and meE
-
Star of the East show us the wayB
In wisdom undefiledF
To seek that manger out and layB
Our gifts before the childF
To bring our hearts and offer themG
Unto our King in BethlehemG
