Little-oh Dear Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCBB DDEEBB FFGGAB HHIIAB

See what a wonderful garden is hereA
Planted and trimmed for my Little Oh DearB
Posies so gaudy and grass of such brownC
Search ye the country and hunt ye the townC
And never ye'll meet with a garden so queerB
As this one I've made for my Little Oh DearB
-
Marigolds white and buttercups blueD
Lilies all dabbled with honey and dewD
The cactus that trails over trellis and wallE
Roses and pansies and violets allE
Make proper obeisance and reverent cheerB
When into her garden steps Little Oh DearB
-
And up at the top of that lavender treeF
A silver bird singeth as only can sheF
For ever and only she singeth the songG
I love you I love you the happy day longG
Then the echo the echo that smiteth me hereA
I love you I love you my Little Oh DearB
-
The garden may wither the silver bird flyH
But what careth my little precious or IH
From her pathway of flowers that in spring time upstartI
She walketh the tenderer way in my heartI
And oh it is always the summer time hereA
With that song of I love you my Little Oh DearB
