Googly-go0 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDECE FGHGHEFE IJFJAEKE HLHLMEAE BNONDEOE PHHHPEEE

Of mornings bright and earlyA
When the lark is on the wingB
And the robin in the mapleC
Hops from her nest to singB
From yonder cheery chamberD
Cometh a mellow cooE
'T is the sweet persuasive trebleC
Of my little Googly GooE
-
The sunbeams hear his musicF
And they seek his little bedG
And they dance their prettiest dancesH
Round his golden curly headG
Schottisches galops minuetsH
Gavottes and waltzes tooE
Dance they unto the musicF
Of my googling Googly GooE
-
My heart my heart it leapethI
To hear that treble toneJ
What music like thy musicF
My darling and mine ownJ
And patiently yes cheerfullyA
I toil the long day throughE
My labor seemeth lightenedK
By the song of Googly GooE
-
I may not see his anticsH
Nor kiss his dimpled cheekL
I may not smooth the tressesH
The sunbeams love to seekL
It mattereth not the echoM
Of his sweet persuasive cooE
Recurreth to remind meA
Of my little Googly GooE
-
And when I come at eveningB
I stand without the doorN
And patiently I listenO
For that dear sound once moreN
And oftentimes I wonderD
Oh God what should I doE
If any ill should happenO
To my little Googly GooE
-
Then in affright I call himP
I hear his gleeful shoutsH
Begone ye dread forebodingsH
Begone ye killing doubtsH
For with my arms about himP
My heart warms through and throughE
With the oogling and the googlingE
Of my little Googly GooE
