A Paraphrase Of Heine Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BABA CDCD EFEF GHGH

LYRIC INTERMEZZOA
-
-
There fell a star from realms aboveB
A glittering glorious star to seeA
Methought it was the star of loveB
So sweetly it illumined meA
-
And from the apple branches fellC
Blossoms and leaves that time in JuneD
The wanton breezes wooed them wellC
With soft caress and amorous tuneD
-
The white swan proudly sailed alongE
And vied her beauty with her noteF
The river jealous of her songE
Threw up its arms to clasp her throatF
-
But now oh now the dream is pastG
The blossoms and the leaves are deadH
The swan's sweet song is hushed at lastG
And not a star burns overheadH
