It's good practice and hygienic | G |

But the child that dwells long in hand washing | G |
May meet only an empty dish | I |

The youths are tomorrow's leaders they oft say | J |
But when tomorrow refuses to come | K |
For the youth to exercise their leadership role | L |
Let the youth get hold of today | J |
To make way for tomorrow | M |

When men fight God's fight | N |
They think it's zeal for God's kingdom | K |
And that they do God a huge favour | M |
Whereas they succeed | O |
In making Him a weakling that can't fend | P |
For Himself and have to depend | P |
On the power of mortals to execute His plans | Q |

Poet's note: "Wise sayings" is a poem that contains some of the wise sayings the poet has put together. The sayings contradict some popular sayings like "Give unto Caesar..." and others which the poet thinks are no longer tenable.
