Wisdom And Power Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDAEFGHI JCKLMNO GPQQGRSQ

I need wisdomA
Not power and prayB
God to give me knowledgeC
Not power for as SolomonD
I ask for the wisdomA
To differentiate between goodE
And evil and how like FrancisF
To change what I canG
And endure what I can'tH
And how to make the difference in them allI
-
For the man of powerJ
Uses raw force bereft of knowledgeC
And wisdom and in his own understandingK
He could cajole the peopleL
Mould them like plasticineM
To suit his whims and capricesN
To achieve the agenda deep in his heartO
-
Wisdom makes a manG
To look before he leapsP
Gives him power to seeQ
Beyond his nose to seeQ
To see that which the strong manG
Who sits at the zenithR
At the roof topS
Or atop the iroko never can seeQ

Poet's note: "Wisdom and Power" continues the discussion in "Season of Madness." The poet asserts he prefers wisdom to power and feels the governor who decamped from one political party to another exercised power without wisdom and believes he will lose at the end because he didn't employ wisdom.
