The Homeless Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIHJ KHLHMNNNOHP QRNN

Where they sleepA
What they eatB
None cares the richC
And mighty fly pastD
In their expensive pleasure carsE
With tinted glasses wound upF
Not to see nor hearG
The hunger pangs rumblingH
In their stomachs nor the chantsI
Of the street beggars sweatingH
Out their daily bread like animalsJ
-
No schools for the childrenK
Regalled in tags cryingH
For little morsels and crumbsL
And the infants sucklingH
At flabby breasts drainedM
By hunger and wantN
And hardship kwashiorkoredN
Whose husbands witheredN
Like leaves broken offO
From their stalks grayingH
Before their timeP
-
The homelessQ
Are forgotten piecesR
Of humanityN
A crying shame to societyN

Poet's note: In many towns and cities of the world there are destitute and homeless people who under bridges and open places but none bothers about their condition. It's as if they are not human. The poem draws attention to the plight of the homeless and the need for governments to do something about their plight.
