Rhyme Scheme: ABCDE FGHIJ AIBKLM ANOPQ ARSTU VOWXPYY

How much is my life worthA
In dollarsB
Pound SterlingC
EurosD
Or the worthless nairaE
-
When I'm only a living corpseF
Waiting to dropG
Into a shallow untimely graveH
Dug by men in a hurryI
To dispose of my useless remainsJ
-
How much am I worthA
When I could be wasted easilyI
Either by police or soldiersB
Like Endsars victims whose bodies disappearedK
Into thin air to cover up atrocitiesL
Schemed and executed by the stateM
-
How much's my life worthA
When daily my brothers and sisters are butcheredN
By aljanu in human skinO
And all the authorities could do as usualP
Is shift the bulk of blameQ
-
How much am I worthA
When I can't step out of the confinesR
Of my home without being afraidS
Without writing my willT
Because I mayn't return home aliveU
-
Is this really lifeV
That we're battered by hunger withinO
And can't go out to fend for ourselvesW
In fear of being battered by agents of hellX
As we waste scarce resources on peopleP
Whose interest's not our preservationY
but our destructionY
