One Year ago jots whatB
God spell the word I can'tC
Was't Grace Not thatD
Was't Glory That will doE
Spell slower GloryF
-
Such Anniversary shall beF
Sometimes not often in EternityF
When farther Parted than the Common WoeG
Look feed upon each other's faces soG
In doubtful meal if it be possibleH
Their Banquet's trueE
-
I tasted careless thenI
I did not know the WineJ
Came once a World Did youE
Oh had you told me soG
This Thirst would blister easier nowK
You said it hurt you mostL
Mine was an Acorn's BreastM
And could not know how fondness grewE
In Shaggier VestM
Perhaps I couldn'tN
But had you looked inO
A Giant eye to eye with you had beenO
No Acorn thenI
-
So Twelve months agoG
We breathedP
Then dropped the AirQ
Which bore it bestM
Was this the patientestM
Because it was a Child you knowG
And could not value AirQ
-
If to be Elder mean most painR
I'm old enough today I'm certain thenI
As old as thee how soonS
One Birthday more or TenI
Let me chooseT
Ah Sir NoneU
