A
-
One Sister have I in our houseB
And one a hedge awayC
There's only one recordedD
But both belong to meE
-
One came the road that I came mdashF
And wore my last year's gown mdashF
The other as a bird her nestG
Builded our hearts amongH
-
She did not sing as we did mdashF
It was a different tune mdashF
Herself to her a musicI
As Bumble bee of JuneJ
-
Today is far from Childhood mdashF
But up and down the hillsK
I held her hand the tighter mdashF
Which shortened all the miles mdashF
-
And still her humL
The years amongH
Deceives the ButterflyM
Still in her EyeM
The Violets lieM
Mouldered this many MayC
-
I spilt the dew mdashF
But took the morn mdashF
I chose this single starN
From out the wide night's numbers mdashF
Sue forevermoreN
