The Sage Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCABBA BBBBBB

Foreguarded and unfevered and sereneA
Back to the perilous gates of Truth he wentB
Back to fierce wisdom and the OrientB
To the Dawn that is that shall be and has beenC
Previsioned of the madness and the meanA
He stood where Asia crowned with ravishmentB
The curtain of Love's inner shrine had rentB
And after had gone scarred by the UnseenA
-
There at his touch there was a treasure chestB
And in it was a gleam but not of goldB
And on it like a flame these words were scrolledB
I keep the mintage of EternityB
Who comes to take one coin may take the restB
And all may come but not without the keyB
