Souvenir Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CDCEFD

A vanished house that for an hour I knewA
By some forgotten chance when I was youngB
Had once a glimmering window overhungB
With honeysuckle wet with evening dewA
Along the path tall dusky dahlias grewA
And shadowy hydrangeas reached and swungB
Ferociously and over me amongB
The moths and mysteries a blurred bat flewA
-
Somewhere within there were dim presencesC
Of days that hovered and of years gone byD
I waited and between their silencesC
There was an evanescent faded noiseE
And though a child I knew it was the voiceF
Of one whose occupation was to dieD
