About the place where there is now no place | B |
But a walled hole where fruitless vines embrace | B |
Their parent skeletons that yet survive | A |
In evil thorns none of us could arrive | A |
At a more cogent answer to their ways | C |
Than one old Isaac in his latter days | C |
Had humor or compassion to contrive | A |

The Power that you call yours and I call mine | E |
Extinguished in the last of them a line | E |
That Satan would have disinherited | D |
