Lost Anchors Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA CCDEED

Like a dry fish flung inland far from shoreA
There lived a sailor warped and ocean brownedB
Who told of an old vessel harbor drownedB
And out of mind a century beforeA
Where divers on descending to exploreA
A legend that had lived its way aroundB
The world of ships in the dark hulk had foundB
Anchors which had been seized and seen no moreA
-
Improving a dry leisure to investC
Their misadventure with a manifestC
Analogy that he may read who runsD
The sailor made it old as ocean grassE
Telling of much that once had come to passE
With him whose mother should have had no sonsD
